On October 21-28, Astrakhan Tatishchev State University held the Caspian Model UN, an educational role-play that provides students with an opportunity to immerse themselves in the process of discussing global challenges and get firsthand experience of going through all stages of decision making in accordance with the UN regulations. Such events are regularly held in many countries, providing students and schoolchildren with a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the peculiarities of diplomatic work and get real experience in negotiations. During the role-play, its participants learn to listen to each other, convince other delegates, prove their own point of view and find a compromise in order to adopt the text of the final Resolutions by a general vote.
