CITS and LUNN Are Getting Ready for Joint Master Classes

On April 1, trainers of the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation held a virtual meeting with Vadim Sdobnikov, the Head of the Department of Theory and Practice of English Language, Translation and Interpreting at LUNN, and Marina Lebedeva, the Acting Dean of the LUNN Higher School of Translation and Interpreting and the Head of the Department of the English Language at the LUNN Higher School of Translation and Interpreting.

Representatives of the two universities often meet at various T & I platforms, forums and conferences, and now, implementing the project on developing partnerships with T & I schools of Russia and the Caspian countries, CITS has proposed to organize a series of pilot master classes for students of the Astrakhan and Nizhny Novgorod universities.

During the kick-off meeting, the representatives of CITS and LUNN outlined the first events that are planned for the current academic year: CITS trainers will conduct a master class on interpretation for students from Nizhny Novgorod, and Vadim Sdobnikov is ready to work with Astrakhan students on their translation of texts on oil refining, which is a very relevant topic for Astrakhan Region.

The events are scheduled for April and May, and the parties are already discussing plans for joint virtual classes for the next academic year.
