Virtual Class with the European Commission on June, 20

On June, 20 the MA students of the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation took part in the last virtual class of this academic year given by the European Commission interpreters. The speakers presented speeches in French, Italian, English and Russian. The MA students Olga Kulakova interpreted from French intro Russian; the speech was devoted to the influence of information technology on diplomacy. Anastasia Eremeeva interpreted a speech delivered by Nataliya Kabakova about culture of washing in different historical periods; the speech was interpreted from Russian into English. Despite the fact that on June, 17 our 2 year MA students graduated from the School, some of them decided to take part in the last virtual class: Anastasia Lopatchenko from interpreted Italian into Russian; the speech was devoted to the influence of sun beams on human organism. Another graduate Radoslava Maltseva interpreted a speech given by Julia Igragimova which was devoted to the influence of lead presented in the environment on the crime rate. The Brussels interpreters commented students’ performances mainly paying attention to the proper choice of lexical units and grammatical structures in the target language.

We will be looking forward to new virtual classes which will start from September again. And now our MA students are already in Brussels having traineeship in the European Commission and European Parliament where they will practice their conference interpreting skills during the 2 weeks.
