Diana Kadyrmatova
The Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation graduates top-class professionals, and this is not an exaggeration, since our graduates work in various international organizations all over the world, in particular in the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO)! Having graduated in 2015, our alumnus Diana Kadyrmatova now works there as a terminologist. Diana has recently come to the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation to share her experience with our Master’s degree students.
Diana works at the WIPO Patent Cooperation Treaty (РСТ) division, an operation center of the international patent system. At the meeting, she talked about the process of taking the fellowship, gave some valuable tips on how to write a proper motivation letter, which is paid much attention to during the selection of candidates. Diana also shared some resources that can be helpful during the test. Besides, Diana unveiled some secrets of correct and effective work with terms.
Diana emphasized that the training at the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation let her gain necessary knowledge and have the opportunity to take the fellowship and then to sign a contract with WIPO.
The students asked Diana various questions about some tips on how to organize the working process at WIPO properly, what job prospects terminologists have nowadays, etc.
Diana inspired our Master’s degree students to take part in this programme because she thinks that this experience is simply amazing: apart from being well paid, you get an opportunity to communicate with people who work for various international organizations, and thus you can broaden your general knowledge.
Diana is very glad that the cooperation between the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation and WIPO is flourishing and is very fruitful. And we’re happy that Diana is our graduate that we are so proud of!
