Virtual class of the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation with the London Metropolitan University

While other students just enjoyed their winter vacation easygoing, MA students of the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation didn’t waste their time and prepared for the next virtual class with the London Metropolitan University. The virtual class took place on February10. The main topic of the class was success stories which are especially relevant for students, because different examples of success inspire and motivate young people. Trainers and students of the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation and London Metropolitan University in their speeches gave not only useful pieces of advice about how to achieve personal and professional success, but also helped to see into the matter of the “success” as a definition. MA students with German in their language combination were not idle either. A speech dedicated to the integration into a new culture was delivered in German. For instance, the speaker mentioned some people, who came from the Middle East countries and assimilated entirely so that they began to make indispensable contribution into social development. Those topics help everyone to take a fresh look at some problems and regarding the difficult situation in the world it is especially important. But that was not all- there was a surprise for MA students. After a short discussion it was decided, as an experiment, that students should organize and moderate our next virtual classes. MA students of the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation cheered up when learnt that their colleges in London have similar language combinations. It gives them a chance to create an active team-work and therefore improve their linguistic and interpreting skills. This time all the speeches made by London Metropolitan University were prepared and presented by MA students. This fact bespeaks their readiness for an independent organization and moderation of virtual classes and they will initiate it soon.
