Cooperation with the Russian Foreign Ministry: Director of our School meets the Ambassador-at-Large
Igor Bratchikov, Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, paid a visit to Astrakhan during the 4th Caspian Media Forum. Mr. Bratchikov participated in several events of the Forum and made a speech at the panel discussion ‘New Stage for Caspian Cooperation. Outcomes of the 5th Caspian Summit through its Documents’. The Ambassador also held several meetings, in particular with Olga Egorova, Director of the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation. Ambassador Bratchikov noted that he had heard a lot about our School and its alumni, including from Yury Kozlovsky, Senior Advisor of the Linguistic Support Department at the Russian Foreign Ministry, who held master classes for our students last year and also was the leading translator for the documents related to the signing of the Convention on the Legal Status of the Caspian Sea. Ambassador Bratchikov underscored that he follows the news and activities of our School, including events related to the visits of foreign delegations, senior leaders and other representatives of the Linguistic Support Department of the Ministry. The Ambassador underlined that the Foreign Ministry continues to place all Caspian matters in the center of its attention, which also includes linguistic training in our region. Therefore, the Foreign Ministry will continue its cooperation with Astrakhan State University and will also deepen its ties with our School and the region at large.
