Olga Egorova, the Director of the Project Office of International Cooperation & Development of Astrakhan State University, supports the development of Italian studies at ASU

For several years, Astrakhan State University has been implementing the grant that supports the teaching of the Italian language and culture and conducting Italian studies, financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Italy and the Embassy of the Republic of Italy in Moscow through the Italian Institutes of Culture in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
Within the framework of the project implementation, Olga Egorova, the Director of the ASU Project Office of International Cooperation & Development, held a number of meetings, including a meeting with Olga Strada, the Director of the Italian Institute of Culture in Moscow and a long-standing partner of our university who has initiated and supported a lot of projects, implemented in our region (for example, the annual Italian Film Festival) and, in particular, at Astrakhan State University. Olga Strada has been to ASU for several times and, during their recent meeting, Prof. Egorova invited her to pay another visit to Astrakhan and take part in events, connected with the Italian language and culture.
Besides, during her trip to Moscow and St. Petersburg, Olga Egorova met with the administration of several leading St. Petersburg universities, where she was invited to as a member of the Council of the International Federation of Translation to hold consultations on the issues of linguistic training at higher educational institutions.
