Delegation from Belarus Gets to Know CITS as part of Their Visit to Astrakhan
On January 31, ASU welcomed a delegation from Belarus headed by Igor Petrishenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, and Dmitry Krutoy, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Russia. The guests visited the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation during an introductory tour of the university.
The delegates learnt about the work of CITS, the projects and activities of the school, in particular the current cooperation between CITS and Minsk State Linguistic University.
CITS staff told the guests about conference interpretation courses, inclusive education, Master training programs, and the advanced equipment for educational and linguistic projects and international meetings.
The delegates expressed their interest in the work of CITS and supported the cooperation between the universities of Russia and Belarus, particularly in linguistics.
