CITS Models IAEA Regulatory Cooperation Forum

Hot debates and vivid emotions – that’s what the conference was all about!

On April 26, CITS hosted a mock conference, where students of the Faculty of Law, Faculty of Foreign Languages, and schoolchildren of Gymnasium No.3 and Gymnasium No.4 of Astrakhan discussed pressing issues in the world of nuclear energy, practiced public speaking skills, and answered a number of questions of interest.

“We thank the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation for their hard work and motivation for development,” J. Baldryan, a student of the Faculty of Law, shares his impressions.

The experts noted a high level of professionalism of all the participants, their language proficiency and debating skills, which promoted a quality exchange of views and a search for constructive solutions in the field of nuclear safety and security. Various concepts and proposals for improving cooperation in this area were presented.

Master’s students of CITS provided simultaneous interpretation of the event, which ensured a quality conversation. The participants noted a high level of arrangement of the space and atmosphere of the Forum, which created a comfortable environment for fruitful work.

At the end of the event, personal thank-you letters from the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation were handed out to the participants, as this event was the final one in the mock conference cycle. Together with CITS, the participants discussed some plans for organizing future conferences in the 2024/2025 academic year.
