CITS Hosts Master Classes by RSL Interpretation Expert
A master class in Russian Sign Language interpretation at CITS was held by Olga Varinova, an expert of Novosibirsk State Technical University. The event was implemented within the SignSpeaks project supported by the Vladimir Potanin Foundation.
The event involved CITS staff, interpreters of the Astrakhan regional branch of the All-Russian Society of the Deaf, as well as its Chairwoman Tatiana Borisova.
Our colleagues participated in the master classes and gained priceless knowledge in Russian Sign Language (RSL) interpretation they’ll apply in the future; they also studied the professional competencies relevant for RSL interpreters. The course participants noted that such events are necessary both for the promotion of culture of the Deaf and hard-of-hearing people, and for professional growth of RSL interpreters.
CITS would like to thank our colleagues for a great experience and knowledge, and look forward to further cooperation.
