Mock Conference BRICS+ Summit at CITS
On December 15, offline Mock Conference: the BRICS+ Summit was held at the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation, where all the participants showed their professionalism.
The conference modeled the accession process of the new countries to BRICS+. Law students specializing in international law presented the candidate countries. Schoolchildren from gymnasiums No. 4 and No. 3 brilliantly acted as member states, asking questions and engaging in political debate. The chairman of the conference was Kholova Lyubov, Senior Professor of the Department of Philosophy, Cultural Studies and Sociology, Astrakhan Tatishchev State University.
All presentations were in English, which was a key feature of the conference. MA students and course attendees provided simultaneous interpretation, so that everyone felt comfortable, regardless of the English proficiency level. CITS professors monitored the whole process and afterwards gave feedback on the work of the interpreters.
As participants said, they had an unforgettable experience and vivid impressions of the conference, and at the end of the event, they shared their ideas for future joint events and their formats.
We wish all our participants further success and new achievements in their professional sphere.
