CITS Started the Final Exams!

CITS MA students are literally a month away from their cherished MA Linguistics degrees. The most serious and difficult stage is about to start which is state examination and defending a Master’s thesis. MA students are fully prepared and raring to go.

Today, the first test was held – the final presentation of terminology projects, on WIPO Pearl updating.

CITS Started the Final Exams!

Our graduates presented the results of their projects online, analyzed mistakes and how they could address them, and answered some questions on terminology theory. The Expert Commission included: Geoffrey Westgate, the Head of the Support Section of PCT Translation Service of the World Intellectual Property Organization; Ulyana Savelyeva, the Head of the CITS (who is also a leading terminology trainer at our school); Olga Egorova, Elena Yakovleva and Ekaterina Shamova, CITS trainers.

The experts noted the projects results of this year’s graduates confirm once again the CITS MA students’ progress in the development of difficult theoretical terminology knowledge, as well as practical skills in the search and selection of terms for specific areas of science and technology.
