CITS Celebrates Anniversary of All-Russian Society of the Deaf

On December 2, the Astrakhan regional branch of the All-Russian Society of the Deaf celebrated its 80th anniversary.

The ceremony was held in the House of Caspian Flotilla Officers. A great concert was organized, with the deaf actors performing, singing songs, and reciting poems in Russian Sign Language.

The event was attended by Stanislav Ivanov, the President of the Central Committee of the All-Russian Society of the Deaf, Tatiana Borisova, the Chairman of the Astrakhan regional branch of the Society, Leonid Ogul, a State Duma deputy, members of the Society, and RSL interpreters.

The organization’s partners, including the Ministry of Health of Astrakhan Region, Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Astrakhan Region, and Boarding School No.3 for students with disabilities also addressed the organization with their greetings on its anniversary. A grand award ceremony of active community members concluded the event.
