CITS Holds RSL Master Classes

On 14-15 March, the Platforma Institute for Education Development hosted the regional forum Go For It! within the framework of the World Youth Festival. The program included exciting master classes on Russian Sign Language (RSL) held by CITS.

The event was attended by students of Astrakhan universities and colleges. Participants were introduced to the basics of RSL, learnt a lot about deaf culture and ways to get in contact and communicate with deaf people.

As the students said, they got an unforgettable experience and vivid impressions from the master classes; they also showed interest in further exploration of the world of people with hearing impairments.
We hope that such events will heighten young people’s interest in inclusion, and there’ll be more RSL speaking people in our region.
