CITS Director Takes Part in Herzen SCIT Conference

CITS Director Uliana Saveleva took part in the anniversary conference Quality of Translator and Interpreter Training in the Era of Globalization, Human-Centric Innovation and Artificial Intelligence, which was held on 11 and 12 October 2023, joining the event online. The conference was timed to the 15th anniversary of the School of Conference Interpreting & Translation (SCIT) at Herzen University.

The conference was attended by eminent specialists in the theory and practice of translation and interpretation. Heads and staff of the language services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the United Nations and other international organizations were invited to take part in the event.

In her speech, Uliana Saveleva talked about a unique opportunity of CITS master’s students to make a fair share to the sphere of patenting terminology in partnership with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
