CITS to Set up Cooperation with Universities at the Federal Level under Strategic Academic Leadership Programme

It is not a secret that now the leading universities of our country are actively preparing to participate in the federal project “Strategic Academic Leadership Programme”, which is based on the principles of integration and cooperation of scientific and educational organizations. The initiative is aimed at developing the economy, science and education of Russian regions as well as creating breakthrough technologies in the country. Within the framework of inter-university collaboration, the university project teams develop unique tactics and strategies as well as put forward priority areas of activity, including interuniversity cooperation.

Astrakhan State University is actively preparing to participate in this programme, and, of course, CITS as one of the key subdivisions and projects of the university is involved in this initiative. In September, as part of the preparation of the SALP application, Ulyana Savelyeva, Head of CITS, visited Moscow State Linguistic University and the Russian University of Peoples’ Friendship as part of ASU delegation in order to establish cooperation with these universities in the scientific field, in particular in linguistics and T&I. The parties defined priorities of joint activities and outlined the first steps in implementing scientific projects of mutual interest.
