CITS Trainers Attended the Annual Seminar of the UN Information Centre in Moscow

The conference brought together representatives of universities that train highly qualified interpreters and translators.

Olga Egorova, Ulyana Savelieva and Nadezhda Emelianova, trainers of Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation, also participated in this important event, which was held by the UN Information Centre together with the Linguistic Support Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

For nine years, the seminar has been gathering the specialists of partner universities, training highly qualified translators and interpreters for international organizations.

At the seminar Olga Egorova presented detailed strategic plan to enhance all leading universities introducing the best Russian and world practices, as well as using advanced technologies in the translators and interpreters training.

 The participants also discussed possibilities of creating a unified space, with joint master classes and joint internships to be organized.

In this regard, in January 2020, the European Commission together with CITS and Moscow State Linguistic University will have a joint virtual master class which is expected to become the first step in building the network interaction.
