CITS Trainees Provide Linguistic Support at Apple Presentation
On September 9, 2024, Apple presented its brand new products to the world. CITS trainees provided linguistic support at a presentation for Astrakhan citizens and guests.
Apple annually holds presentations that traditionally become a global event attracting the attention of millions of viewers around the world.
A presentation broadcast in Astrakhan organized by one of the largest stores attracted more than 100 participants.
The broadcast was a great chance to follow the latest technological trends for Astrakhan citizens, as well as to demonstrate top skills for CITS trainees.
The event organizers contacted CITS with a request to provide English–Russian interpreters.
As part of their practical training, CITS provided a few students with a unique opportunity to join the trends of the global technological community, gain interpretation experience and be among the first to learn about Apple’s new products.
Maria Li and Dmitry Kuzmin, fifth-year students of the ASU Faculty of Foreign Languages, got a chance to interpret at the presentation.
During the presentation, they provided English–Russian interpretation so that the guests could understand every feature of the new products.
“Working as interpreters at the Apple presentation, we gained an extremely positive experience.
We felt a high level of organization, professionalism and coherence of the team.
It was a valuable experience, and we hope to participate in similar events again.
Such events give a unique opportunity to become a part of something innovative and significant in the world of technology,” Dmitry and Maria said, sharing their emotion.
