World Music Community Сelebrates Jazz Day

On 30 April, the world jazz community celebrated the International Jazz Day, and a great concert was held in Astrakhan in honour of this holiday. Melvin Travis, a vocalist with a French passport, Caribbean roots and jazz soul, as he is often described, performed on the stage of the Astrakhan State Philharmonic.

CITS staff Angelina Malova provided high-level interpretation at a rehearsal involving Melvin Travis and the Philharmonic Pop and Jazz Orchestra and their joint concert on 30 April 2024, as well as his TV interview.

“Such events offer interpreters an opportunity to apply their knowledge in practice, gain invaluable experience, and meet outstanding people from different parts of the world,” Angelina shared her impressions of the past event.
