CITS Creates Inclusive Linguistic Environment: Sharing Experience and Discussing New Plans with International Partners

The Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation started new year with new acquaintances and new projects. On January, 14 a virtual meeting was held with Cedric Moreau, Associate Professor of Science and Education at INSHEA (National Institute of Advanced Training and Research for the Education of Young People with Disabilities and Adapted Teaching), situated in Suresnes, France. Mr. Moreau’s particular field of expertise is inclusive education.

The participants discussed development of Russian sign language courses and possibility of creating CITS-based international forum aiming to promote Deaf culture. Mr. Moreau expressed his approval towards these initiatives and shared valuable advice concerning their implementation. He also emphasized the crucial role of such ideas for full realization of the inclusive education principle, in particular at Astrakhan State University.

Mr. Moreau wished CITS success and showed himself willing to be a guest expert in Essentials of the Russian Sign Language and Deaf Culture course, which CITS plans to launch in April 2021.
