The CITS Develops Cooperation with WIPO
In October this year, during her trip to Europe, Olga Egorova held a series of meetings in WIPO – a long-standing partner of ASU. These meetings are the result of the recent seminar on intellectual property, which was held in September at ASU. WIPO management commended the organizers for holding the event, highlighted the strengths of the seminar and areas for improvement. Negotiations were also held on future joint projects of ASU and WIPO. In addition, Olga Egorova received confirmation of a free WIPO internship for Ulyana Savelyeva, a leading CITS terminology trainer, in real time as an employee of the organization. For two weeks, Ulyana Savelyeva will work on developing the terminology base of the organization in cooperation with WIPO staff.
Olga Egorova held talks to expand the base of technical experts who work with WIPO terms as well. At the moment, Alexey Rybakov, Director of the Institute of Physics & Mathematics, Associate Professor of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Automation of ASU, actively works on this issue.
It is important to note that Olga Egorova managed to agree on engaging 2-4 experts to work in this area until the end of 2019. The Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation actively develops ASU international partnerships, which provides students with the opportunity to try their hand in the organizations with a worldwide reputation.
