CITS Staff Performs a Song in Russian Sign Language

n May 15, Astrakhan saw the opening of the 7th regional championship of professional skills among people with disabilities Abilympics.

The organizers of the event invited CITS representatives Valeria Ariamnova, Dmitry Marshalkin, and Assemgul Mashova to take part in the event.

The song Esli v serdtse zhivyot lyubov’ (eng. If Love Lives in Your Heart) by Yulia Savicheva was chosen for presentation. The song was performed in Russian Sign Language, so our representatives used signs, mimics and articulation to convey the lyrics. The performance was so vibrant and emotional that all the audience applauded excitedly.

Thus, CITS proved that art has no limits and everyone has access to it. Such events not only favor the integration of deaf and hard of hearing people into society, but also show that music and art are accessible for everyone.
