CITS Hosts an Interpreting Session on Global Expansion

An annual interpreting session was held at March, 17 at Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation in the video conference format. MA students of the first and second years, CITS teachers and external experts from Russian companies participated in the session.

The speakers were Narmina Velieva, the Development Director of the Skolkovo Technopark, Alexandr Popov, the Managing Director of SOYUZ Zastrojshchikov Real Estate Agency, Sergey Sergeev, the Sales and Marketing Director of the Rezonver LLC, and Yulia Pidkipnaya, business and life Coach. The external experts presented their speeches in English and talked about venture investments, trends in the real estate market, startups and their expansion to the international market, and brand building.

The first- and second-year MA students carriued out consecutive interpretation into Russian. For the first-year students, it was the first experience of interpretation at an online event and a great opportunity to receive feedback from the representatives of leading company the quality of the performed interpretation. For the second-year students, it was a good practice before the upcoming state exams.

At the end of the session, students receive valuable advice and recommendations from the external experts and detailed feedback from the CITS teachers.
