Linguistic Support Department of MFA Russia Keeps on Working with CITS
Recently, interpreters of Russia’s top officials held a series of master classes for students of the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation, ASU.
Andrey Zavarukhin, the Second Secretary of the Linguistic Support Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has taught the students new interpretation techniques and methods for broadening their knowledge horizon. The classes were held online, as well as most of the work performed.
During the master classes, MA students performed consecutive interpretation and sight translation. They also studied some cases of difficult-to-pronounce terms and proper noun translations.
The top-level interpretation requires transmitting as much content as possible. Therefore, it is important to practice to the fullest in order to get ready for any challenges an interpreter may face.
The classes given by Andrey Zavarukhin will surely be a valuable experience for MA students’ future career. We thank the Linguistic Support Department of MFA Russia for cooperation and such important events.
