Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation opens its doors to new students!

This year, Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation has once again opened its doors to new students. Students from different cities such as Ryazan, Volgograd and Simferopol came here to study the art of translation and interpretation, our MA programme being one of the best educational programmes in Russia. Many students have spent the whole year preparing for the entrance exams and even the fact that some of them don’t have a degree in Languages didn’t prevent them from passing this difficult examination.
“This year I got a degree in Economics but I’ve been studying English for a long time” – tells us one of the first year MA students Yana Malinovskaya. “When I found out about this translation and interpretation school in Astrakhan, I made up my mind to win the admission to the programme. However, I was aware that my knowledge was not sufficient. I managed to pass the exam only because I’d spent the whole year preparing to it”.
On September, 2 an intensive preparation for the visit of our colleagues from the European Parliament and the European commission, who will test our new students in October, started in the classroom 40 at the Department of the Foreign Languages which is equipped with the most up-to-date equipment for simultaneous interpretation.
Being a student of the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation means not only being proud but also being responsible. We, as the first year students, are sure that this school will be a launching pad for our life.
