Mock Conference: the Annual Ministerial Review of the UN Economic and Social Council

On 15th October another class of “mock conference” format was organized by the second-year master students! This time we held the Annual Ministerial Review of the UN Economic and Social Council. The conference topic “Gender Equality and the empowerment of women” was a real one of the annual review in 2010. The “representatives” of different countries, i.e. Mongolia, South Korea, USA, EU, and Ukraine made presentations devoted to the gender equality situation and the women rights expansion policy. The national presentations were shown at the conference, and a “question- answer” discussion took place. The conference was simultaneously interpreted into Russian and English.
