The Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation Is Cooperating with the Ministry of Emergency Situations!

Soon MA students of the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation will have a chance to take a whole new role as they were entrusted with an unexpected and extremely responsible mission – to save people’s lives. No, they won’t run  into burning buildings, transplant hearts or chase dangerous criminals. But still they get the opportunity to contribute to saving lives of those who are in troubles.

A few weeks ago the Ministry of Emergency Situations asked the Rector of Astrakhan State University to engage students speaking foreign languages to render timely aid to population. It means if MES call center receives a call from foreign citizens who found themselves in an emergency situation within the territory of our region then a call agent will reach our volunteers to provide over-the-phone interpretation services.

Our MA students are asked to provide communication in the English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese and Farsi languages.

MA students are enthusiastic about their new mission. They are pleased with a chance to lend a helping hand any time they are needed.
