Olga Egorova, the Director of the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation, has been re-elected a member of the Board of the Union of Translators of RussiaOn May 26, Moscow saw the 10th anniversary congress of the Union of Translators of Russia – the largest professional organization of translation and interpretation specialists in the Russian Federation. UTR is represented almost in all the regions of Russia, including Astrakhan region. The most active and significant specialists in this field are members of the Board of the Union of Translators of Russia.
Olga Egorova, the Director of the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation, was re-elected a member of the UTR Board for the next three years. This is a great responsibility and a great honour, since participation in the Board activities implies making all strategic and tactical decisions, associated with the development of T & I industry in our country, with the development of translation technologies and with cooperation with large T & I organizations in Russia and with foreign partners. This is the function Olga Egorova has been successfully performing at UTR for the last two terms: she develops cooperation with international partners of the Union as well as with translation and interpretation associations of Europe, Asia and other continents.
We are proud of this achievement and wish the Union of Translators of Russia, which is a reliable partner of the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation and Astrakhan State University, continued success!
It should be recalled that several years ago Astrakhan State University hosted the famous summer school of the Union of Translators of Russia, which gathered a record number of participants – more than 350 experts in the T & I field – and has become one of the most significant events of UTR in recent years.
