6th Graduation Ceremony of the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation
On July 3, the Conference Interpreting Center of the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation hosted the most important and exciting event of the academic year – a solemn ceremony of awarding diplomas to our MA students. For us, it is not just another awarding of diplomas. It is a great occasion which we are thoroughly prepared for and where we gather the most important guests – the partners of the School, the university administration and, of course, our MA students’ families and friends.
This year, the solemn ceremony was attended by A.A. Zhilkin, the Governor of the Astrakhan Region, Andrey Lopukhov, the Director of the Linguistic Support Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, D.A. Afanasyev, the Minister of International and Foreign Economic Relations of the Astrakhan Region, V.A. Gutman, the Minister of Education and Science of the Astrakhan Region, O.V. Kolomin, the Head of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in Astrakhan, M.A. Zaytseva, the Head of the Agency for Communication and Mass Media of the Astrakhan Region, Ali Mohammadi, the Consul-General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Astrakhan, Adalyat Guseynov, the President of the Astrakhan regional non-governmental organization “Azerbaijani Centre for Promoting Socioeconomic and Cultural Cooperation” and other distinguished guests. Welcoming words said by the ceremony guests are invaluable, as well as the support given by their organizations to our School.
The 6th graduation class of the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation is 18 masters specializing in interpreting and translation; many of them are already practising interpreters and translations, while the others are only at the start of their professional path. However, all of them have a wealth of experience gained during the 2-year studies at the School – a store of theoretical and applied knowledge, a rich portfolio full of volunteering activities and internships, a new vision of the chosen profession, of the interpreting and translation world and of the world in general. We wish our students to become top professionals in the sphere they’ve chosen (though a difficult one, but still extremely interesting and fascinating), always move forward and love their work and profession. And the School will always support you in all your initiatives!
