The Caspian Interpreting and Translation School Staff Took part in a Number of Webinars on Improving Interaction with Students
The first online seminar “Development and Promotion of the International Resource Media Centre of the World Alumni Association” took place this Wednesday. At the meeting, Vladimir Chetyi, President of the World Alumni Association, spoke in detail about the project (there are plans to establish five international resource centres in Russia, one of them will be in Astrakhan) and answered a number of questions on how to establish links between graduates and how it would help young people who have just graduated with employment. Special attention was paid to foreign students who come to Russia to study and wish to stay, but unfortunately cannot always find a decent job. International students with high academic perfomance will be able to find a job in the International Resource Media Center and help their compatriots choose a suitable Russian university, answer their questions and meet them on site.
At the meeting the lecturer was asked many questions concerning the peculiarities of working with international students, how to attract them to universities and how to help young people from other countries socialize. Unfortunately, the meeting time quickly came to an end, and the listeners had questions which they decided to postpone to April 17.
