The Governor of the Astrakhan Region: «The Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation is a crucially important project for the region that the Government is proud of and will actively support in the future»

On January 30, Astrakhan State University hosted the public report by Denis Afanasyev, Minister of International and Foreign Economic Relations of Astrakhan Region, attended by Alexander Zhilkin, Governor of the Astrakhan Region. The report captured the results of developing international relations in 2017 and prospects for 2018. Among other topics, the Minister talked about significant projects including the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation. The School was presented by Nikolay Khurchak, Vice-Rector for International Relations of ASU, who elaborated on the progress of the School and prospects for further development pointing out that the Caspian School of Interpreting and Translation is one of the most significant ASU international projects. After the presentations, citing the most important achievements in the field of international cooperation, Alexander Zhilkin, Governor of the Astrakhan Region, expressed gratitude to Olga Egorova, Director of the Caspian School of Interpreting and Translation, for the good work carried out while training highly-qualified interpreters and translators for Russian and international organizations. The Governor also emphasized that the Caspian Higher School of Interpreting and Translation of Astrakhan State University was a crucially important project for the region that the Government was proud of and would actively support in the future.
