Over the course of the classes, the students performed simultaneous interpretation of world leaders’ speeches, for instance, the speech given by the U.S. President Donald Trump at the 74th session of the UN General Assembly. In similar vein, the students perfected their sight interpretation skills by working on important political documents.

The master class proved to be especially fruitful for the first year students, as they had never worked on such complex speeches before. Two more busy days lie ahead for our MA students to practice their interpretation skills under the guidance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expert. Andrey Zavarukhin corrects the students’ mistakes and gives advice on how to choose the most suitable word.

Our MA students are yet to face a great number of interpretation challenges, still, the atmosphere at the master class is very informal and friendly.
